DRAFT Everflow vs TUNE vs CAKE: How the Three Platforms Compare on Price and Terms

Compare Everflow vs TUNE vs CAKE on pricing, tracking, affiliate network features, payments, automation, mobile attribution and contract terms.

Everflow, TUNE and CAKE have all been used to run established affiliate networks, advertiser programs and performance marketing businesses, but the three platforms now approach that market from different directions.

Everflow has expanded its proposition beyond traditional affiliate network tracking into broader partner and performance marketing, combining affiliate management with marketplace discovery, downstream revenue attribution, paid media integrations and native partner payments.

TUNE remains a highly configurable partner marketing platform for networks and advertisers, with a long-established offer, partner, reporting and API architecture. CAKE is similarly rooted in affiliate network operations, but places more emphasis on granular campaign configuration and also sells a separate Lead Distribution product alongside its Affiliate Marketing Software.

There is another connection worth understanding before comparing them. Since July 2025, TUNE and CAKE have operated under a unified leadership team and strategic direction. Both are owned by Perseus Operating Group, part of Constellation Software, and sit within the same Affiliate Marketing Group. The products remain separately marketed and operated, so buyers still need to evaluate the TUNE and CAKE platforms independently rather than treating them as two pricing tiers of the same product.

The pricing differences are significant enough that a buyer should avoid comparing only the first number in the table. Everflow's current pricing process is personalized, while the official Shopify listing provides the $1,495 public reference + $500 setup fee. TUNE publishes its Network Enterprise price directly, whereas CAKE's current affiliate product page remains quote-led.

Review figures as of September 2026. Pricing verified against each vendor's live properties in September 2026.

Product scope

Everflow has moved furthest beyond the traditional definition of affiliate network software.

The platform still covers the conventional network structure of advertisers, partners, offers, conversions, payouts and reporting, but its current positioning extends into other performance channels. Everflow can attribute repeat purchases, subscriptions, renewals and other downstream customer events, while integrations with platforms such as Google, Meta and TikTok allow affiliate activity and media buying to sit within the same broader reporting environment. That direction makes Everflow particularly relevant to companies running a network alongside a media buying operation, an agency business or other performance channels. Its Marketplace and Everflow Pay also sit directly inside that proposition rather than operating as unrelated products.

TUNE remains closer to the classic partner marketing platform architecture. The current TUNE Network plan includes unlimited active offers and partners, real-time reporting, creative and landing-page optimization, advanced targeting, fraud functionality, performance automation, a partner API and a complete two-way API. Advanced commissioning and third-party payment integrations are also listed as network capabilities.

CAKE is similarly built around advertisers, affiliates, offers and campaigns, but its configuration model goes particularly deep at the campaign and offer level. The CAKE Affiliate Marketing product includes offer contracts, payout tiers, click and conversion caps, targeting, pixel and postback management, affiliate and advertiser APIs, event tracking, voucher-code attribution and detailed reporting.

CAKE also sells Lead Distribution Software separately, giving performance businesses a route for handling lead buyers, routing and lead quality alongside affiliate operations. That remains one of the clearer reasons to consider CAKE when a business operates both an affiliate network and a lead distribution business.

Pricing

Pricing is where the three platforms become much harder to compare directly.

Everflow Pricing

Everflow does not publish a standard pricing table on its main website.

Its quote flow asks prospective customers about their business model, current affiliate platform and monthly affiliate payout volume. That last question is particularly relevant because it indicates that partner payout volume forms part of Everflow's commercial calculation.

The clearest public rate remains Everflow's official Shopify App Store listing, which currently shows:

  • $1,495 per month
  • $500 setup fee
  • Payout-based tier pricing
  • Custom pricing based on usage

That figure should be treated as a public pricing reference rather than the guaranteed price of every Everflow account. Everflow's main website still routes companies through a personalized quote, so a network's actual bill depends on its commercial agreement and usage.

Everflow also states that its plans carry a six-month commitment. A network considering Everflow should therefore ask for the complete pricing schedule rather than stopping at the $1,495 figure. The relevant numbers include the payout or usage allowance attached to the quote, what happens when that threshold is exceeded, onboarding costs and the commercial terms for Everflow Pay.

TUNE Pricing

TUNE is more transparent for affiliate networks.

The current TUNE Network pricing page shows two options.

  1. Enterprise is priced at $899 per month, paid annually. The plan lists unlimited active offers and unlimited active partners and includes the main network platform functionality.
  2. The second option is Contract, which uses a custom quote.

TUNE Pay is not included as a standard network feature. It is currently listed as an optional add-on on both Network options.

This is worth separating from TUNE's advertiser pricing. Its Advertiser Scale plan currently starts at $1,500 per month paid annually and includes 2,500 conversions per month, but that is a different product configuration from the $899 Network plan. Networks should use the network pricing page as their commercial reference rather than comparing against advertiser pricing.

TUNE also maintains a free-trial policy. Its current billing documentation says new customers governed by the online agreement are eligible for a 30-day trial, after which the first invoice is generated. Contract customers are governed by the terms of their individual agreement.

CAKE Pricing

CAKE is the least transparent of the three from a pre-sales pricing perspective.

The current CAKE website does not publish standard Affiliate Marketing Software plans, monthly rates, included click volumes or conversion tiers. Product pages direct buyers to request a demo, and G2 currently describes the pricing simply as Contact CAKE.

Capterra currently displays a $299 per month Basic price for CAKE, but this figure needs context. CAKE does not currently publish that price on its own Affiliate Marketing Software pages, and the figure does not establish what an affiliate network receives at that level or whether it represents current network pricing.

For that reason, $299 should not be used as the equivalent of Everflow's $1,495 public listing or TUNE's $899 Network price.

A network evaluating CAKE needs a commercial quote covering the actual traffic volume, feature requirements, implementation, support, CAKE Pay and any infrastructure requirements before a meaningful annual-cost comparison can be made.

How Growth Changes the Cost

The three vendors expose very different information about what happens as a network grows.

Everflow's public materials point toward payout-based and usage-dependent pricing. A network processing larger amounts of partner money should therefore understand which payout bands apply and how the subscription changes when monthly affiliate payouts increase.

TUNE's Network page currently publishes the base Enterprise price and unlimited active partners and offers, but it does not expose the complete usage schedule on the public comparison page. Any network processing substantial click or conversion volume should ask TUNE to document the usage limits and overage logic attached to its specific agreement before signing an annual contract.

CAKE publishes even less commercial detail. Its current product page refers to flexible click volumes and intelligent scaling but does not provide the rate card or volume thresholds behind that language.

This makes a spreadsheet based only on advertised monthly prices unreliable. The stronger approach is to take one representative month from the network and give the same numbers to all three vendors: clicks, conversions, partner payouts, number of advertisers, active offers and any other events that materially affect usage. The resulting twelve-month quotes show considerably more than the entry prices.

Migration

Migration is especially relevant here because Everflow explicitly targets businesses leaving TUNE and CAKE.

Everflow currently advertises free data migrations from other platforms, including API-based migrations from TUNE, CAKE and HitPath. Its migration process can reproduce an existing setup while the previous platform remains active, allowing data to be collected in both environments during the transition.

That parallel period gives a network a practical way to compare attribution and conversion counts before the old platform is removed from the tracking flow.

TUNE also documents a parallel migration model. The TUNE migration guide instructs customers to import advertisers, offers and partners from the old platform, insert TUNE into the existing traffic funnel and temporarily track statistics in both systems. TUNE's Network pricing page also lists Platform Migration among its platform capabilities.

CAKE has strengthened its onboarding process in 2026. Its new Onboarding & Adoption Program provides guided implementation, while the network onboarding documentation covers infrastructure configuration, tracking, advertisers, affiliates, reporting and billing.

What CAKE does not currently publish is an Everflow-style promise of free cross-platform data migration from named competitors. Its documentation does provide an offer-import tool for moving offers from another CAKE instance, but that is different from migrating a complete network from Everflow or TUNE. Networks considering CAKE should therefore establish what data the implementation team will migrate and what remains the customer's responsibility before comparing onboarding costs.

Tracking and Attribution

All three platforms support the core attribution architecture required by performance networks.

Everflow supports partner links, postbacks and additional customer events, with reporting designed to connect initial acquisitions to subsequent activity such as renewals, subscriptions and repeat purchases. Its broader platform also integrates performance from paid acquisition channels, giving it a wider attribution scope than affiliate tracking alone.

TUNE supports native postback tracking, pixel tracking, mobile and web tracking, promo codes and advanced targeting. Its platform remains highly configurable through offer-level rules, partner settings and API access.

CAKE supports server-to-server postbacks, pixels, impression tracking and mobile measurement through integrations or its iOS and Android SDKs. The platform also provides click and conversion caps, fraud controls, custom targeting, event tracking, and clickless postbacks for conversions such as phone calls and offline events where a conventional click ID may not exist.

For a standard affiliate conversion, all three platforms cover the fundamentals. The differences appear when the tracking requirement extends into other channels or highly customized campaign logic.

Commission and Payout Structures

TUNE supports several payout structures rather than limiting offers to a single flat CPA. Its current documentation covers flat conversion payouts, percentage-of-sale commissions, combined flat plus revenue-share payouts, CPC and CPM models. Its advanced commissioning tools can also alter partner rewards based on defined criteria, which remains relevant for networks negotiating different commercial terms with different publishers.

CAKE uses five primary price formats:

  • CPA
  • CPC
  • CPM
  • Fixed
  • Revenue Share

It can also use multiple price formats within the same offer through Offer Contracts, which allows variations in pricing, targeting and other offer-level terms without creating an entirely separate offer for every commercial arrangement. CAKE additionally supports affiliate payout tiers, making it possible to expose different payouts or offer statuses to different affiliate groups.

Everflow also supports configurable partner payouts and event-based compensation, including downstream events and recurring customer value. Its strength is less about a unique basic commission type and more about connecting those payout events to a wider customer lifecycle.

For networks with complicated commercial agreements, a demo should reproduce two or three of the hardest live commission setups rather than simply confirming that the platform supports "RevShare" or "CPA."

CAKE's Separate Lead Distribution Product

CAKE has one important differentiator that deserves to sit outside the standard affiliate feature comparison. Alongside Affiliate Marketing Software, CAKE operates a dedicated Lead Distribution Software product.

This is aimed at businesses that need to accept leads, evaluate traffic sources and lead quality, route leads to different buyers and optimize distribution rather than simply attribute a conversion to an affiliate. That can make CAKE particularly relevant to lead-generation networks, insurance, finance and other businesses where the commercial workflow continues after the lead enters the platform.

Everflow and TUNE can both track lead-based affiliate campaigns, but CAKE explicitly maintains lead distribution as a separate core product line. For a conventional CPA or ecommerce affiliate network, this difference may have little effect on the decision. For a business operating both affiliate acquisition and lead routing, it can be significant.

Partner Payments

Everflow Pay sits inside Everflow's wider partner-management ecosystem. Everflow's documentation states that fees can depend on total monthly payout volume, which means the payments layer should be included when modelling the overall platform cost.

TUNE Pay handles partner payment workflows within the TUNE ecosystem. For affiliate networks, however, the current Network pricing page marks TUNE Pay as an optional add-on, rather than part of the $899 Enterprise subscription.

CAKE Pay similarly handles affiliate payments and associated tax documentation. CAKE currently promotes global partner payments, consolidated invoicing, W-9 and 1099 management, ACH payments and configurable Net15, Net30 and Net40 payment terms.

A network paying publishers across many countries should compare the complete payments proposal, including currencies, countries, transaction fees, FX treatment and tax-document workflows.

Partner Discovery and Marketplaces

Everflow Marketplace gives advertisers and networks access to publishers and partners by vertical and promotion type and sits directly alongside the tracking and partner-management platform.

The TUNE Marketplace is positioned mainly as a way for brands to access affiliates and publisher groups that operate through networks. TUNE promotes partners such as content publishers, coupon sites, loyalty publishers, influencers and networks through this environment. Networks evaluating TUNE should therefore distinguish between running their own partner base on the TUNE Network product and the brand-facing TUNE Marketplace proposition.

CAKE's current Affiliate Marketing Software page does not promote a comparable built-in publisher marketplace. Instead, it provides affiliate signup workflows, referral rewards and APIs that networks can use to onboard and manage their own partner base.

For a network that already owns strong publisher relationships, this may not matter. For a team expecting its software vendor to assist materially with partner discovery, Everflow and TUNE provide more explicit marketplace infrastructure.

API, Automation and AI Access

Everflow promotes full API access and automation across its platform. It has also launched an MCP server, allowing AI clients to query offers, partners, advertisers, conversions and reporting data. The current implementation is read-only, so an AI assistant cannot modify production records through MCP.

TUNE lists a Complete 2-Way API, Partner API, performance automation and automated event delivery among its Network capabilities.

CAKE provides advertiser and affiliate APIs as well as extensive Admin APIs. Its current API documentation includes operational endpoints covering areas such as accounts, billing and reporting, while its product page describes the API as capable of both automation and programmatic data ingestion.

As of September 2026, TUNE and CAKE do not publicly document a native MCP server comparable to Everflow's. That matters mainly for teams building AI-driven operational workflows. API coverage remains much more important when the objective is conventional system integration.

Security and Reliability

Everflow has completed SOC 2 Type II and makes additional security information available around its infrastructure and controls.

TUNE has a particularly established SOC history. Its latest public audit announcement states that it successfully completed both SOC 2 Type 2 and SOC 1 Type 2 audits, covering the TUNE platform and TUNE Pay.

CAKE currently publishes a Type 1 SOC 2 report reference rather than Type II on its main Affiliate Marketing Software page. It also states that the platform runs on AWS infrastructure with a 99.9% uptime guarantee and maintains GDPR-related data protection processes.

A Type I report evaluates controls at a point in time, whereas a Type II report evaluates their operation across a defined period. That does not automatically make one platform operationally safer than another, but buyers whose security questionnaires explicitly require SOC 2 Type II should verify CAKE's current documentation before entering procurement.

What Reviewers Report

The current public review data gives Everflow the highest rating across the largest combination of recent review volumes.

As of September 2026, G2 lists:

Capterra currently lists:

Those figures need context.

Everflow's current G2 profile contains substantially more review activity than either competitor. TUNE has a meaningful review base but a lower G2 average. CAKE's Capterra sample is particularly small, and much of the visible written feedback dates back several years, so it carries less weight when evaluating the 2026 product.

The recurring themes are more useful than the decimal scores. Everflow reviewers frequently cite reporting depth, support and usability, while TUNE reviewers commonly praise its reporting and flexibility but mention the learning curve around more complex configurations. CAKE reviewers often value its customization, tracking and support, while criticism commonly centers on reporting complexity and interface age.

Where Trackdesk Fits for Affiliate Networks

Everflow, TUNE and CAKE are all credible options for established affiliate networks, but they represent three relatively different commercial structures. Networks comparing them should include Trackdesk in the same exercise when predictable tracking economics and operational flexibility are important.

Trackdesk Network pricing is public. As of September 2026, the live page lists Seed Network at $449 per month, Growth Network at $599 per month under the current annual promotion ($999 without promo), and Network PLUS from $1,499 per month. The pricing page notes that the current 40% annual promotion runs through September 30.

More important than the temporary discount is the volume model. The published Trackdesk Network plans include unlimited affiliates, unlimited advertisers, unlimited clicks and unlimited conversions. That gives networks another pricing structure to model against Everflow's usage and payout-linked quoting, TUNE's annual Network contract and CAKE's custom commercial terms.

Trackdesk also takes a different approach to AI integration. Its MCP server exposes the public API according to the permissions of the connected token and can execute approved actions, including conversion approvals, affiliate status changes and commission updates. Everflow's current MCP implementation remains read-only, while TUNE and CAKE do not currently publish native MCP servers.

Networks specifically considering one of these platforms can also review the more detailed Everflow alternative comparison, TUNE alternative comparison and CAKE alternative comparison before building the final shortlist.

Everflow vs TUNE vs CAKE: Which One Fits Better?

Everflow is the strongest fit when the network operation forms part of a wider performance marketing business.

Its combination of affiliate infrastructure, marketplace discovery, recurring-revenue attribution, paid media integrations, Everflow Pay and newer AI access gives it the broadest cross-channel proposition of the three. The commercial trade-off is transparency. Its main website still requires a custom quote, while the public Shopify reference starts considerably above TUNE's published Network rate, and the platform requires a six-month commitment.

TUNE makes more sense when the requirement is a mature, highly configurable partner or affiliate network platform with a clearly published base price.

The $899-per-month Network Enterprise plan includes unlimited active partners and offers, a two-way API, advanced targeting, performance automation and sophisticated commissioning. Its current security credentials are also strong. The main commercial issue is commitment. The Enterprise price is paid annually, and functions such as TUNE Pay sit outside the base Network subscription.

CAKE remains particularly relevant when granular network configuration or lead distribution forms part of the requirement.

Its offer contracts, five price formats, affiliate tiers, detailed targeting, APIs and separate Lead Distribution product provide substantial operational depth. CAKE Pay and its recently expanded onboarding program also cover workflows outside tracking itself. Its biggest buying disadvantage is pricing transparency. The current vendor site does not expose an affiliate-network rate card, volume tiers or contract structure, which makes a meaningful comparison impossible until a quote is obtained.

For affiliate networks that want another commercial model, Trackdesk should be included alongside all three, particularly where unlimited tracking volume, unlimited advertisers, a public rate card and API-backed AI operations carry more weight than maintaining an existing legacy workflow.

The final decision should be made with production numbers rather than feature counts.

Take one recent month and calculate the actual clicks, conversions, advertiser count, active offers, partner payouts and payment volume. Then reproduce two or three of the hardest commission and attribution workflows in each platform and ask every vendor for the twelve-month cost of that exact environment.

That comparison usually exposes the differences that marketing pages do not.

FAQ

Is Everflow better than TUNE?

Everflow can be a better fit for businesses that want affiliate network management combined with broader performance marketing attribution, partner discovery and downstream revenue tracking. TUNE is more closely aligned with a traditional configurable affiliate and partner platform and currently offers a lower published Network entry price.

Is Everflow better than CAKE?

The answer depends on the operating model. Everflow has a broader partner and performance marketing proposition, including its Marketplace, Everflow Pay, paid media integrations and recurring-revenue attribution. CAKE provides detailed affiliate network controls and has a separate Lead Distribution product, which can make it more suitable for businesses that route and sell leads as part of their operation.

How much does Everflow cost?

Everflow does not publish a standard rate card on its main website. Its official Shopify App Store listing currently shows $1,495 per month plus a $500 setup fee, with payout-based tier pricing and custom pricing based on usage. The main Everflow website still uses personalized quotes.

How much does TUNE cost for an affiliate network?

TUNE currently lists its Network Enterprise plan at $899 per month, paid annually. It also offers a custom Contract option. TUNE Pay is listed as an optional add-on for Network customers.

How much does CAKE cost?

CAKE does not currently publish standard Affiliate Marketing Software pricing on its own website. Capterra displays a $299 Basic price, but because that amount is not published by CAKE as its current affiliate-network rate, networks should request a direct quote before comparing costs.

Do TUNE and CAKE belong to the same company?

Both are owned by Perseus Operating Group, part of Constellation Software. In July 2025, TUNE and CAKE announced that their teams had been brought under unified leadership and strategic direction within the same Affiliate Marketing Group. They continue to operate as separately marketed software platforms.

Which platform has the best migration process?

Everflow makes the clearest public commitment, offering free data migration and specifically advertising API migration from TUNE and CAKE. TUNE also documents a parallel migration process where the old and new tracking systems operate together during the transition. CAKE provides implementation and onboarding assistance but does not currently publish an equivalent free cross-platform migration promise.

Which platform is better for lead generation networks?

CAKE has a meaningful advantage when a business needs dedicated lead routing because it sells Lead Distribution Software alongside its Affiliate Marketing Software. Everflow and TUNE can both track lead-generation campaigns, but CAKE maintains lead distribution as a separate core product.

Which platform has the strongest API?

All three provide substantial API functionality. Everflow offers full API access, TUNE advertises a complete two-way API, and CAKE maintains affiliate, advertiser and extensive Admin APIs. The better choice depends on the endpoints and write operations required by the specific network rather than the existence of an API alone.

Do Everflow, TUNE and CAKE support partner payments?

Yes. Everflow provides Everflow Pay, TUNE offers TUNE Pay and CAKE offers CAKE Pay. TUNE currently lists TUNE Pay as an optional add-on for its Network plans, while payment fees and coverage should be checked separately for each platform.

Do Everflow, TUNE and CAKE support MCP?

Everflow currently provides a read-only MCP server. TUNE and CAKE do not currently publish native MCP server documentation. Trackdesk also provides MCP access, but unlike Everflow's read-only implementation, Trackdesk can execute API actions according to the permissions assigned to the access token.

What are the main alternatives to Everflow, TUNE and CAKE?

Trackdesk is one of the strongest alternatives for affiliate networks, particularly where unlimited affiliates, advertisers, clicks and conversions, public Network pricing, API access and operational MCP capabilities are priorities. Affise is another established platform frequently evaluated in the same affiliate-network category.
