Affise vs TUNE vs CAKE: How the Three Platforms Compare on Price and Terms
Compare Affise vs TUNE vs CAKE on pricing, tracking, affiliate network features, payments, automation, mobile attribution and contract terms.
Affise, TUNE and CAKE target much of the same market, especially affiliate networks, agencies and performance marketing teams, but they differ considerably in pricing, product structure and the way they handle network operations.
Affise Performance uses a four-tier pricing model where conversion volume, impression volume and feature access determine the plan. TUNE publishes a $899-per-month Network Enterprise plan paid annually, alongside a custom Contract option. CAKE takes a quote-led approach and does not currently publish a standard affiliate-network rate card on its website.
The products also have different strengths. Affise combines its core Performance platform with Affise MMP and partner discovery products. TUNE focuses heavily on configurable partner management, automation, reporting and API access. CAKE offers a mature affiliate network platform alongside a separate Lead Distribution product for businesses that also need to route and monetize leads.
There is also a direct relationship between two of the vendors. Since July 2025, TUNE and CAKE have operated under unified leadership and strategic direction within the Affiliate Marketing Group of Perseus Operating Group, part of Constellation Software. They remain separate platforms with distinct products and engineering teams, so this comparison treats them independently.
All pricing, plan limits, product details and review figures in this comparison were checked in September 2026.

Product scope
Affise Performance has the most explicit tier structure of the three. The platform is organized around offers, advertisers, affiliates, tracking, targeting, payouts, statistics and automation, with capability increasing materially as a customer moves through Beginner, Core, Expand and Custom. That structure makes Affise relatively easy to evaluate on paper, because the pricing matrix shows exactly where features such as Smartlinks, impression caps, promo-code tracking, commission tiers, billing APIs and automation become available. It also means the required plan is determined by both traffic volume and functionality, rather than conversion volume alone.
TUNE uses a more traditional enterprise partner-platform model. The TUNE Network product covers offer and partner management, advanced targeting, fraud controls, performance automation, real-time reporting, multiple currencies, partner APIs and a complete two-way API, with unlimited active offers and partners on both current Network options.
CAKE is similarly rooted in performance network operations. Advertisers own offers, affiliates drive traffic, campaigns connect an affiliate with an offer, and the platform tracks the resulting clicks, leads and conversions. CAKE provides detailed offer-level configuration, affiliate tiers, billing, API access and reporting, while its separate Lead Distribution product extends the platform into lead validation, routing and buyer management.
The distinctions become more important for businesses with requirements outside standard affiliate tracking. Affise has the strongest separate mobile attribution product, TUNE is particularly configurable around partner and offer operations, while CAKE has a dedicated lead-distribution stack that neither Affise Performance nor TUNE positions as a separate core product.
Affise vs TUNE vs CAKE Pricing
Pricing produces the largest difference between these platforms because each vendor exposes a different amount of information before a buyer reaches sales.
Affise Pricing
Affise currently publishes four Performance plans.
Beginner costs $625 per month, with a lower $499 price with commitment. It includes 7,000 conversions, 5 million impressions, unlimited clicks, 50 offers, unlimited partners and unlimited users.
Core costs $888 per month, or $699 with commitment. It increases the allowance to 40,000 conversions and 15 million impressions, adds two custom domains and makes offers unlimited. Smartlinks, click caps, advertiser caps, view-through attribution, commission tiers and CPC/CPM payouts also become available at this level.
Expand costs $1,239 per month, or $999 with commitment. The allowance increases to 50,000 conversions and 20 million impressions, with five custom domains. Expand introduces features including promo-code tracking, QR-code tracking, parallel tracking, hourly caps, the Affiliates Billing API, First Deposit payouts and more detailed reporting.
Custom costs $2,499 per month, or $1,999 with commitment. Conversion, impression and domain allowances become tailored, while advanced automation including CR Automation, Click Automation, KPI Automation and Scheduled Changes is available here. Affise's full iGaming feature set, Baseline payouts and No Negative Carry Over are also currently tied to Custom.
Every current Performance tier includes Affise Pay and a 14-day trial. Beginner uses self-service onboarding, while Core and above include a dedicated onboarding manager; additional customer-success support appears on the higher plans.
Affise also states that tracking does not stop after a plan's monthly allowance is exceeded. Additional events continue to be recorded and are charged according to the pricing terms attached to the account. Customers can upgrade or downgrade, while cancellation requires written notice at least 30 days before the cancellation date.
The advantage is transparency. A finance team can model a likely starting tier before speaking to sales. The limitation is feature gating: a network may fit inside Core's 40,000-conversion allowance but still require Expand or Custom because of tracking, billing, automation or vertical-specific requirements.
TUNE Pricing
TUNE's Network Enterprise plan is listed at $899 per month paid annually. TUNE also offers a Contract plan with custom pricing.
Both options list unlimited active offers and unlimited active partners. The standard feature set includes real-time reporting, custom application and tracking domains, advanced targeting, fraud prevention, performance automation, partner API access, a complete two-way API, advanced commissioning, third-party payment integrations, automated event delivery, product training and platform migration.
One cost should be separated from that $899 figure: TUNE Pay is currently an optional add-on for Network customers, rather than being included in the base subscription.
TUNE's billing documentation also says subscription fees are billed in advance while usage is billed in arrears. The public Network comparison page does not expose a detailed schedule of included usage or overage rates, so high-volume networks should request those figures as part of the proposal rather than treating $899 as the complete monthly cost.
The trial requires similar care. TUNE's official Billing Policies state that new customers governed by the online agreement receive a 30-day trial before their first invoice. The same documentation explicitly says that contract customers are governed by the terms of their individual contract, which is why a Network buyer should confirm trial availability rather than assuming every $899 annual agreement automatically includes the same terms.
CAKE Pricing
CAKE currently provides the least pricing transparency of the three vendors.
Its own website promotes Affiliate Marketing Software, Lead Distribution Software, CAKE Pay and professional services but does not publish a standard affiliate platform rate card. Buyers are directed to Request a Demo rather than selecting a public plan.
Third-party directories are not consistent enough to replace a vendor price list. Capterra lists a $299 Basic starting price. Because CAKE itself does not currently publish that $299 figure or explain the network capacity attached to it, using it as a direct equivalent to Affise Beginner or TUNE Network Enterprise would create a misleading comparison.
A serious CAKE quote should therefore establish the subscription cost, click and event assumptions, implementation charges, support level, CAKE Pay terms and any infrastructure requirements before the annual cost is compared with Affise or TUNE.
How Growth Changes the Bill
Affise provides the clearest public model for how traffic growth affects pricing. Conversions and impressions are explicitly capped by plan, while clicks are unlimited across the current Performance tiers. Activity above the allowance continues to track but generates additional charges. The pattern creates predictable thresholds. A network can see that Beginner includes 7,000 conversions, Core 40,000 and Expand 50,000, then model whether its current and projected traffic will remain inside the selected tier. There is still a second dimension. If the required functionality appears only on a higher plan, the network moves upward even when its conversion count would fit a cheaper tier.
TUNE exposes much less usage information publicly. Its $899 Network plan has unlimited active offers and partners, but the billing documentation confirms that usage is invoiced separately in arrears. The exact allowance and overage logic should therefore be included in the vendor quote for any high-volume network.
CAKE requires the same exercise almost entirely through sales because the current vendor site does not publish the traffic tiers behind its commercial model.
The most reliable cost test is to give each vendor the same recent production month: actual clicks, conversions, impressions, active partners, advertisers, offers and payout volume. The twelve-month quote based on that environment is considerably more useful than comparing Affise's $625, TUNE's $899 and an unverified CAKE directory price.
Migration
Migration is another area where the three approaches differ substantially.
Affise uses CPAPI as its main documented migration and synchronization mechanism. Its pricing page describes CPAPI as a tool that synchronizes with advertisers and pulls data into Affise, while Offer Migration through CPAPI is available on Core, Expand and Custom but not Beginner.
The scope is worth stating accurately. Affise's public language focuses on CPAPI and offer synchronization rather than promising a complete, vendor-managed recreation of every affiliate, report, billing rule and historical record from another platform. Affise does, however, maintain public CPAPI sources for other tracking systems, including TUNE and CAKE, which makes offer-level integration with both relevant to this comparison.
TUNE publishes a much more detailed migration procedure. Its official migration guide instructs networks to import advertisers, offers and partners from the old system, configure conversion tracking, add TUNE to the existing traffic funnel and temporarily collect statistics in both platforms. Partners move to TUNE links only after the tracking environment is working correctly.
That parallel phase is useful for an established network because the old system does not have to disappear before the new attribution data has been checked.
CAKE has invested more visibly in onboarding during 2026. Its new Onboarding & Adoption Program describes a guided launch process, while the current Network Operator Onboarding Guide walks customers through platform configuration, tracking infrastructure, affiliates, advertisers, reporting and billing.
CAKE does not currently publish the same kind of cross-platform migration promise as TUNE's parallel migration guide, so buyers moving an established network should confirm exactly which data CAKE's implementation team will transfer, what requires API work and which parts of the account must be rebuilt manually.
Tracking and Campaign Control
All three platforms cover the core tracking requirements expected from established affiliate network software, so a comparison based only on clicks, conversions and postbacks does not separate them particularly well.
Affise exposes the most visible tier-by-tier tracking matrix. View-through attribution and Smartlinks start at Core. Expand adds features such as promo codes, QR codes, parallel tracking, additional sub parameters and more granular targeting. Custom adds further caps, reconciliation and automation.
TUNE's Network platform includes mobile, web and server-side tracking, advanced targeting, performance automation and fraud controls. The architecture is highly API-oriented, with a Partner API and complete two-way API included in the current Network comparison.
CAKE models network traffic around advertisers, offers, affiliates and campaigns. A campaign is created when an affiliate is connected with an offer, producing the tracking relationship used to attribute clicks, leads and conversions. Offer Contracts can then vary pricing, targeting, landing pages and other conditions without forcing a network to create a separate base offer for every commercial arrangement.
For networks with relatively standard CPA traffic, all three can cover the fundamental workflow. The real evaluation begins with the exceptions: GEO-specific partner payouts, unusual advertiser postbacks, conversion caps, traffic routing, approval workflows and the rules currently maintained outside the tracking platform in spreadsheets or internal scripts.
Commission Models
Commission configuration is one of the more useful areas for a direct comparison because each platform has a mature but different implementation.
Affise supports CPA and RevShare across all current plans. Commission Tiers and CPC/CPM payouts begin on Core. Expand introduces First Deposit payouts, while Custom adds Baseline and No Negative Carry Over functionality alongside the platform's dedicated iGaming capabilities.
TUNE supports flat CPA, percentage-of-sale payouts, combined flat plus percentage payouts, CPC and CPM. Enterprise accounts can also schedule future payout changes, while the Network plan includes Advanced Commissioning for more complex partner arrangements.
CAKE currently supports five principal Price Formats: CPA, CPC, CPM, Fixed and RevShare. Multiple formats can exist within one offer through Offer Contracts, allowing different campaign variations to use different commercial models while sharing the underlying offer structure. CAKE also supports Affiliate Payout Tiers. A network can place affiliates into groups such as Gold, Silver or Bronze and expose different payout values or offer statuses according to the affiliate's assigned tier.
For networks with complicated agreements, the demo should reproduce several existing contracts rather than asking whether the platform supports CPA or RevShare. All three do. The differentiator is whether the exact combination of event rules, GEOs, partner exceptions, thresholds and reconciliation logic can be maintained without creating excessive administrative work.
iGaming Support
Affise currently has the clearest explicitly documented iGaming feature set among the three platforms.
Its current pricing matrix reserves the broader iGaming package for Custom, while some relevant functionality appears earlier. First Deposit payouts are available from Expand, and Custom adds Baseline and No Negative Carry Over.
The Affise iGaming documentation covers FTD/FTP logic for CPA and RevShare, affiliate balances and NNCO. In a RevShare arrangement where player winnings can push an affiliate into a negative balance, NNCO can reset that negative value at the start of a new month according to the configured rules.
TUNE and CAKE both provide the flexible payout, event and tracking infrastructure needed to run gambling-related offers, but their current public Network product materials do not expose an equivalent dedicated iGaming feature package.
For an iGaming network, Affise therefore deserves particular attention when FTD, RevShare and negative carryover rules are central requirements. The cost implication is equally relevant because Affise currently puts the complete iGaming set on Custom rather than the lower Performance tiers.
CAKE's Lead Distribution Advantage
CAKE has a product category that neither Affise Performance nor TUNE replicates as directly: dedicated lead distribution software. The CAKE Lead Distribution platform captures and validates leads, then routes them to buyers in real time. CAKE's documentation covers posting leads to external buyer systems, internal CRMs and different buyer configurations, which moves the workflow beyond attribution into the actual sale and distribution of lead inventory.
That distinction can be important for insurance, finance, home services and other lead-generation networks where a conversion entering the platform is only the beginning of the revenue process.
An affiliate network whose advertisers simply pay CPA or RevShare may never need this functionality. A business that buys, validates, routes and resells leads has a stronger reason to put CAKE on the shortlist.
Mobile Attribution
Affise has another clear product-level advantage for businesses with significant mobile acquisition.
Affise MMP is a standalone mobile measurement platform that tracks organic and non-organic installs, in-app events, retention, revenue, uninstalls, reinstalls and retargeting activity. The MMP currently has a $0 Freemium tier covering 10,000 monthly active users, while higher-volume configurations move to custom pricing.
TUNE provides mobile and mobile-web tracking as part of its partner marketing stack, while CAKE can handle mobile campaign attribution within its wider performance platform. Neither currently markets a separate dedicated MMP product in the same way Affise does.
For an affiliate network managing mobile campaigns while already relying on AppsFlyer, Adjust, Singular or another independent MMP, this difference may not materially affect the decision. For a company that wants affiliate infrastructure and mobile measurement from the same vendor family, it does.
Partner Payments
All three platforms have payment functionality, but only Affise currently includes its proprietary payment product across every published Performance tier.
Affise Pay is a mass-payout solution integrated into Affise and is described as having free access on every plan. Access still requires a business-profile review by Affise. The system supports several fiat payment routes and also documents crypto payments through Affise Pay Crypto.
TUNE Pay is integrated with the TUNE ecosystem and handles partner payment and reconciliation workflows, but the current Network pricing page marks it as an optional add-on for both Enterprise and Contract. TUNE also supports third-party payment integrations.
CAKE Pay handles partner payments and tax-document administration. CAKE promotes consolidated invoicing, W-9 and 1099 management, global payments, ACH transfers and Net15, Net30 and Net40 payment terms.
Partner Discovery
Affise's Agency Marketplace lets agencies discover other Affise agencies using filters such as GEO, traffic source, category and business profile information. Affise also operates Reach for wider brand and partner discovery.
The TUNE Marketplace gives brands access to marketplace partners including content publishers, coupon and loyalty sites, influencers and networks. Partners can also browse participating brands through the Brand Directory and request relationships.
CAKE's current Affiliate Marketing proposition does not promote an equivalent built-in publisher marketplace. The platform instead gives networks the infrastructure to onboard and manage their own affiliates.
A network that already has a mature publisher base may place little value on marketplace access. For a team expecting the platform provider to contribute to recruitment and discovery, Affise and TUNE provide a more explicit ecosystem.
API, Automation and MCP
All three platforms provide substantial API access, but only Affise currently publishes a native MCP implementation.
The Affise MCP server exposes 25 tools, covering statistics, conversions, offers, affiliates and advertisers. Every tool is read-only, so connected AI clients cannot create, edit or delete production data.
TUNE includes a Partner API and Complete 2-Way API on its current Network plans, alongside performance automation and automated event delivery. There is no public native TUNE MCP server documented as of September 2026.
CAKE has extensive Affiliate and Admin APIs. Its current documentation includes API actions for advertisers, affiliates, users, roles, offers, accounting and other operational areas, with a substantial number of read and write endpoints. CAKE likewise does not currently publish a native MCP service.
For a company building conventional integrations, API coverage matters more than MCP. For teams that specifically want non-technical staff to query production data through ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant, Affise already provides the more direct native route.
Security and Compliance
Affise states that it has completed SOC 2 Type II and also holds an ePrivacyseal associated with its privacy controls.
TUNE reports recurring SOC 2 Type 2 and SOC 1 Type 2 audits covering both the TUNE platform and TUNE Pay. TUNE notes that its Type 2 audit period normally covers twelve months rather than testing controls only at a single point in time.
CAKE's current GDPR documentation similarly states that it maintains annual SOC 2 Type 2 and SOC 1 Type 2 certifications and hosts client infrastructure on AWS. CAKE also documents its GDPR compliance program and data-protection processes.
There is therefore no credible basis for reducing this comparison to one platform being "secure" and another being "insecure." Enterprise procurement should instead compare the exact audit reports, hosting requirements, data processing agreements and controls required by the buyer's own security team.
What Reviewers Report
The current review data is mixed rather than producing a clear winner.
G2 currently lists Affise Performance at 4.6/5 across 86 reviews, while TUNE holds 4.2/5 across 117 reviews. CAKE is currently 4.5/5 with roughly 60+ reviews.
Capterra currently lists Affise at 4.6/5 across 84 reviews, TUNE at 4.6/5 across 63 reviews and CAKE at 4.3/5 across 17 reviews.
CAKE's Capterra score should be interpreted carefully because its sample is much smaller. The same applies when comparing ratings across G2 and Capterra: a difference of two or three tenths matters less when the review counts differ substantially.
The written feedback provides more useful buying signals. Affise reviewers frequently reference reporting flexibility and campaign management. TUNE reviews often praise detailed reporting and customization while mentioning a learning curve around more complex configurations. CAKE reviewers tend to value the breadth of tracking and customization, while interface and reporting complexity appear among recurring criticisms.
Where Trackdesk Fits for Affiliate Networks
Affise, TUNE and CAKE are all established network platforms, but their commercial structures leave room for another comparison when traffic volume and operating cost are central to the decision.
Trackdesk's current Network plans include unlimited affiliate partners, advertisers, clicks and conversions across the published tiers. Seed Network is currently $449 per month, Growth Network has a standard $999 monthly price, and Network PLUS starts at $1,499 per month.
That gives a network a substantially different billing structure to compare. Affise meters conversions and impressions within its standard plans, TUNE publishes the subscription price but leaves detailed usage economics to the agreement, and CAKE does not currently publish its rate card.
Trackdesk is also relevant when AI is expected to handle operational work rather than reporting alone. The Trackdesk MCP server exposes its public API and can execute actions according to the permissions of the connected access token. Affise's MCP is deliberately read-only, while TUNE and CAKE do not currently publish native MCP implementations.
For networks moving away from one of these platforms, Trackdesk provides free guided migration and supports validating the replacement setup before cutover. The current Trackdesk migration process covers offers, commission logic, postbacks and payout rules, with both systems able to run side by side while attribution is reconciled.
A team actively evaluating these vendors can also use the individual Affise alternative comparison, TUNE alternative comparison and CAKE alternative comparison to examine the migration and product differences in more detail.
Affise vs TUNE vs CAKE: Which One Fits Better?
Affise is the most straightforward platform to evaluate before speaking to sales. Its current four-tier structure publishes both pricing and volume allowances, while the feature matrix makes it possible to identify which tier contains the required tracking, commission, automation and iGaming functionality.
Affise also has the strongest separate mobile proposition through Affise MMP and already offers native MCP access. The trade-off is that the platform becomes considerably more expensive as advanced functionality moves toward Expand and Custom, and high-volume accounts need to model both included events and overages.
TUNE remains a strong fit for networks that value a mature, configurable network architecture and extensive API access. Its $899 Network Enterprise price is public, active partners and offers are unlimited, and the package contains automation, advanced commissioning, fraud controls and migration functionality.
The commercial limitation is commitment and incomplete usage transparency. Enterprise is paid annually, TUNE Pay costs extra, and the public pricing page does not contain the complete usage and overage schedule a high-volume network would need for a full annual budget.
CAKE is strongest where deep offer configuration or lead distribution forms part of the business model. Offer Contracts, affiliate tiers and multiple price formats provide substantial flexibility, while the separate Lead Distribution product gives CAKE a meaningful advantage for businesses that route and monetize leads after acquisition. Its biggest weakness during evaluation is pricing transparency. CAKE's own site does not currently provide enough pricing information to calculate a credible annual cost without entering the sales process.
For networks where traffic economics are becoming the primary constraint, Trackdesk belongs in the same shortlist because its published Network plans do not meter affiliates, advertisers, clicks or conversions and its MCP layer supports operational write actions as well as reporting.
The final comparison should be run against the network that already exists, rather than the clean example shown in a demo. Use one representative month of clicks, conversions, impressions, payouts, advertisers and offers, then reproduce the most complicated commission, tracking and reconciliation workflows on each platform.
That exposes both the actual annual cost and the operational work the software will leave behind.
FAQ
Is Affise better than TUNE?
Affise is likely to be the better fit when public pricing, a 14-day trial, a dedicated mobile measurement product or native MCP access are important. TUNE has a strong advantage for networks looking for a mature, highly configurable partner platform with unlimited active offers and partners, extensive API access and a lower published base price than Affise's higher tiers.
Is Affise better than CAKE?
Affise provides more transparent pricing and currently offers dedicated products for mobile attribution and partner discovery. CAKE can be the stronger option when the business requires deep offer configuration or dedicated lead distribution, but a direct cost comparison requires a CAKE quote because the vendor does not publish its current affiliate-network pricing.
How much does Affise cost?
The current Affise Performance pricing starts at $625 per month for Beginner, or $499 with commitment. Core is $888 or $699 with commitment, Expand is $1,239 or $999, and Custom is $2,499 or $1,999. Each tier has different conversion and impression allowances as well as different feature access.
How much does TUNE cost for an affiliate network?
TUNE currently publishes Network Enterprise at $899 per month paid annually, with a custom Contract option also available. Both list unlimited active offers and partners, while TUNE Pay is an optional add-on.
How much does CAKE cost?
CAKE does not currently publish a standard Affiliate Marketing Software rate card on its own website. Capterra lists a $299 Basic starting price, while G2 displays Contact CAKE. Because the vendor itself does not provide the limits or network configuration associated with the $299 figure, businesses should use a direct CAKE quote for cost comparisons.
Does Affise have a free trial?
Affise currently includes a 14-day trial across all four Affise Performance tiers.
Does TUNE have a free trial?
TUNE's official billing policy provides a 30-day trial to new customers governed by its online agreement. Customers on custom contracts follow the terms of their individual agreement, so Network buyers should confirm that the trial applies to the specific contract they are considering.
Do TUNE and CAKE belong to the same company?
Both sit within the Affiliate Marketing Group of Perseus Operating Group, part of Constellation Software. TUNE and CAKE announced unified leadership and strategic direction in July 2025, while retaining separate platforms and engineering teams.
Which platform has the best migration process?
TUNE publishes the most detailed complete migration procedure of the three, including importing advertisers, offers and partners and tracking in both systems during the transition. Affise provides CPAPI-based migration, with Offer Migration available from Core upward. CAKE provides guided onboarding but does not currently publish an equivalent full cross-platform migration process.
Which platform is best for iGaming affiliate networks?
Affise has the clearest dedicated iGaming functionality among these three. Its Custom plan includes the iGaming feature set, Baseline and NNCO, while First Deposit payouts become available on Expand. TUNE and CAKE have flexible tracking and commission engines but do not currently publish comparable dedicated iGaming packages.
Which platform is best for lead generation networks?
CAKE has a strong advantage when the business needs dedicated lead distribution because it provides a separate platform for collecting, validating and routing leads to buyers. Affise and TUNE can track lead-generation campaigns, but neither currently positions a comparable standalone lead-routing product.
Which platform is best for mobile attribution?
Affise is the clear choice among these three when a dedicated MMP is required. Affise MMP currently offers a free tier covering up to 10,000 monthly active users and tracks installs, in-app events, retention, revenue, uninstalls and retargeting.
Do Affise, TUNE and CAKE support affiliate payments?
Yes. Affise provides Affise Pay, which is available across its current Performance plans subject to business approval. TUNE provides TUNE Pay as an optional Network add-on, while CAKE provides CAKE Pay for payment and tax-document workflows.
Do Affise, TUNE and CAKE support MCP?
Affise currently offers a native MCP server with 25 read-only tools. TUNE and CAKE do not currently publish native MCP servers. Trackdesk also supports MCP, but its implementation can execute approved API actions according to the permissions assigned to the access token.
What are the main alternatives to Affise, TUNE and CAKE?
Trackdesk is one of the strongest alternatives for affiliate networks, particularly for businesses comparing public pricing, unlimited affiliates and advertisers, unlimited clicks and conversions, free guided migration and API-backed AI automation. Other options depend on whether the buyer needs a conventional network platform, iGaming infrastructure, mobile measurement or a lighter affiliate program tool.
